Today I bought a new wireless mouse and it is still not working For context This problem originated when I was using Windows 10 I now have Windows 11 I am using a Dell Inspiron 15 3000 Both mouses were Logitech the new mouse is a Logitech M325s In device manager the mouse is listed as HID compliant mouse and the status is Device While no I have not tried a wired mouse I have tried with numerous brands of mice some very new I had the problem with the old logitech unifying new logitech dongle and even a new bluetooth wireless mouse No I have not tried a wired mouse Is windows that fragile that it can t have a wireless mouse anymore
Performing a clean boot was the only thing that worked Rebooted mouse back as a mouse then reconfigured all services back in reboot again then voila Mouse still working as a mouse No idea what the issue was but a clean boot worked for me Hope this helps Seems to be a common issue Mike After the most recent update windows no longer detects my mouse I cannot see my cursor I know that my mouse and usb work fine as I used them on my laptop without issue The USB ports on my pc are also functioning perfectly
